It strikes as a spell, not as a weapon, so, for example, it can damage creatures that have damage reduction
Okay - so aside from the DR line - which is already covered by the fact that it is a spell - what is the purpose of indicating that it strikes as a spell?
Why not? If a force effect can block physical attacks, why can't physical armor block force attacks?
Oh I didn't realize that my physical shield or physical armor was blocking those magic missiles...
As for the linked thread - I disagree that it really sets a precedent. Yes, two people have discussed this in the past. That's about it. If they had some more cogent discussion, I might agree.

To say that the fact that it is a spell does cover the DR issue; otherwise, you might think that because it takes the form of a particular type of weapon it is treated like summons (which are affected by DR). (Mage's sword, however, is not a particular type of weapon, just a plane of force, so you wouldn't even have reason to think that it would be affected by DR, so it doesn't have to say that it strikes as a spell.)
According to you, why do all the ranged touch attack spells have to say that it's a touch attack?
Oh I didn't realize that my physical shield or physical armor was blocking those magic missiles...
Magic missiles are no proof; even Mage Armor (clearly a force effect) fails to help against them.

Thanks for the run. The only issue is that I feel Ven should have been flurrying so that he could have pinned her when he grappled her. In both round 8 and 9, he could have flurried.

For round 8, I didn't think you wanted Ven to flurry when grappling, because in his tactics you specifically called out to use flurry for pinning, but said nothing about it for grappling. I thought maybe that was for the fact that flurry would be at a slightly lower attack bonus.
For round 9, I didn't know that you could "split" the flurry attacks so that one would be the grapple and the other would be the pin. I've always assumed that flurry lets you make multiple attacks for the same purpose. To be honest, the PHB isn't really clear on it.

OK, Milo vs Adryll, though much delayed (:-\) is now up. It was quite quick and brutal, actually.

Interesting. I would still be interested in the debug console anyway, as it should contain some clues as to why it ignored Urdwed.
The console probably just doesn't have a high enough caster level. Remember that Urdwed is permanently protected by Nondetection - not existing is his forte.

Holy... 40 damage? that was a good shot. more then a little happy he survived the first shot. a nice game sir, well played. Should have had a plan for being feared, but I didn't think it would get past sticking him with a bag and choping, or getting blown into tiny bits.
But when did Gart'ak use rage? I see no mention of it other then in the summery...

then he would have 12 more HP through the battle... which was never noted. did the final attack do over 20 damage? and I point out he had a +2 to will save while raging, was that factored in on the save V.S fear?
