Tactics Away!
Interesting fights on both accounts.

Same. I'm not supremely confident about either of these - Anjin vs Siel will likely be a big mash-up, and Dreath vs Urdwed a long slugfest between two very defensive characters. We'll soon see, though...

Tactics = away
This could go either way, I think. I would wish you luck, but Siel is evil...so A THOUSAND CURSES UPON YOUR ROLLS.

Anjin is already doing better than his last seven matches in his old incarnation, so I fancy he can take a loss. It really could go either way, though.

Send me tactics when you get the chance, Bobthe6th, right? Or is Griffon doing the fight? I think the pairings post may not be up to date.

I think Gart'ak was taking the monster fight. I think the parrings are out of date.

Ah, okay-- I was confused. I'll probably be running the fight on monday so send over tactics when you get the chance.

Um... there are like 10 different possible monsters with "medium biped" ranging from the hound archeon to gargoyles. I can at best give starting actions, but tactics will need to change when he sees what he is fighting. Or am I miss understanding something?

If he lacks the necessary knowledge, he can't identify what he's fighting, although you can make tactics conditional on things like weapons held or spellcasting.

Also it won't be a gargoyle since a gargoyle would be a "Medium Winged Biped" rather than just a "Medium Biped". You can rule out all the multi-monster encounters as well, as well as several of the templated monsters.
So, for Krug's case where all he knows is that his opponent is a medium winged quadruped I sent in tactics that work against all the possible enemies that are winged and have 4 legs, but also wrote things like "If the enemy is staying away and making ranged attacks, do X" and things like that. His opponent is probably a Dragon but there are other possibilities so he is prepared for those as well.
In another fight I think I wrote that if the enemy is holding a bow Kinslayer wouldn't drink his potion of Enlarge Person, but would throw javelins-- and so on. Basically, it's a bit of a pain to write tactics that work for 5-6 different enemies, but it's possible. At ECL 4 most of the enemies bipedal or not, are just going to walk up to you and start hitting you in melee, with a few exceptions.
