Jaob stood up suddenly, the entire tavern flinching back from him. The tavern ower had considered banning the volatile xeph, but had also considered how much he enjoyed living, so Jaob had free reign.
Master Jaob, do you have it? Of course not, is it here? But what's that over there? That's the Jabberwock.... Are you sure? Excuse me...
Jaob started, that last voice wasn't one of the ...whissssssssss regulars....

Jaob looks around in confusion for the source of the final voice. What did it want? He glared a little at some of the other patrons for good measure, then turned back to the matter in hand. What was it again? Ah yes, the voice!

"I beg pardon," continued the voice.
Wait, when did he get here? Who let him in? Is he one of the enlightened as well? Whenwhowherewhywhathowno-thats-wrong....
"I had to get past the madness of those around you..." continued the voice. "and I heard you seek the help of the dead..."
Jaob looked around, not seeing ...whisssssssss anybody. Good... nobody to interupt the voices in his head, maybe they ...whisssssssssss would be more cooperative... butonthetablestoodapony
"There is a temple, a temple to a foolish order where the living and the dead are blurred together; where clarity is in madness, where the third eye sees clearly where no other may...."

Exactley, how dare you! You know, he may have somthing to say... why-not-I'm-not-really-here But why is he here?
"I'm sorry for the intrusion, but you are drinking from an empty tankard."
No he's not, Then why is it so light? Maybe it's etherial? Flying-over-the-skies....
Jaob looked at his ...whissssssss tankard. Of course it was full, the fires in it were flowing over.....

Jaob scratched his head. "Never mind!" he declared. "What's the matter? Why do you bother me?"

The voice in his head remains composed, though that composure seems strained.
"The temple where you may find the line between life and death..."
Why is this voice so demanding? It thinks it knows everything. Murdermurdermurdermurdermurdermurder... Should we ignore it?
The voice shouts in anger, abandoning its calm
"Come!"
Jaob sees an image, an image ...whissssss of a temple with its doors fallen in. He know where ...whisssss it is in the city. He sees in it a battle; a small orb of light he recognizes as a lantern archon and a dog headed extra-planar warrior battle against a swarm of quilled beasted that flow from a portal in the centre of the room. In the corner sits ...whisssssss a pair of skeletons.... no-not-over-there

"Oh, very well!" Jaob snaps, stalking out of the tavern and leaving a very worried-looking (and yet somewaht relieved) bartender behind.

Wait, why are following him?Maybe he has somthng for us.But he is rude.We don't like rude ones.Spiders-burning-through-your-mindBut what if he's one of the mad ones? Then we must bring clarity....Jaob walked through the ...whisssss streets, taking the directions form the voices in his head left, nonononono right, no go up her, wait, I think it's straight....
Jaob enters the large temple, the doors not even hanging from their hinges, to see a large room. Statues ...whisssss of sword wielding figures lay everywhere, thoughthey seemd to have been grotesquley defiled. The bodies of several quilled howlers lay ...whisssssss in the far end, the final one havng been freshly blast by a ray of light from the lanter Archon. His dog headed compatriot turns to see Jaob before declaring, "Man of evil, leave now that you may be spared. We have come to re-sanctify this place. This is not your fight." The dog headed creature pulls his sword as he says this and casts some spell that Jaob can't recognize due to the voices shouting.
This one threatens us? He isn't very nice. I think he should burn! Burn! Burn! Burn! Fire-flame-death-burning-agony-scorching-doom!
Actual fght stuff

You are the red, Rast is blue. The Dog headed one went already and cast a spell. He is wearing a cloak and holding a sword.

Hound and Lantern Archons? Ouch, this could go very badly. SR, DR, Magic Circle, and so much more...Gritting his teeth and hissing in anger, Jaob's first instinct it to call upon his unholy powers to smite these do-gooders from the temple! However, he knows well how dangerous such beings can be. Better to confuse them first - indeed, what better way to reveal the Truth to them but to show them how clouded their minds can become? Begin with Scroll of Obscuring Mist in hand. Cast that, then move (silently, it's a mere +3 but at this distance gives me decent odds) to (18,29). Order the Rast to attack anything which enters the mist (providing it can detect it), with its bite. Note, do this before moving so I don't give my position away.
Anything else is probably too risky at this stage.
