Ah, that would have been good. I tried to build him not specifically for Jerod but to be generally capable (Exhalation of the Black Dragon, tattoo of skate, etc)-- but something like that would have been useful against any character since Touch AC generally doesn't scale nearly as much as regular AC. Maybe using that with Dissolving Touch or just Animal Affinity and Offensive Prescience would have been better for damage output. ZegNuk vs Cries of the Forest is up, by the way. As usual, let me know if there are any problems.

Wow, that was needlessly epic! I'm glad I used Prevenom now, after all; that was far too close for comfort (though I think he would have needed a crit or two shots more). Unfortunately, I've been smacked with a whole bunch of deadlines this week. I'm going to try and get Hunter vs Ghost finally done (sorry!) tomorrow if I can (Kaili will I think take a while longer because, well, she's doing at best 5d6 damage/round vs guys with >100 health ). I have a whole bunch of stuff to do for Thursday, however.

For what it's worth I suspect ZegNuk had a strong chance of winning, but things just didn't turn out well. A hit web or if that poison hit could have made all the difference.

True, though the poison was not much of a worry, actually, thanks to Autohypnosis (+10 vs DC13, so fail on a 1 or 2 only). It's just one of those things that's basically game-ending if it does hit.
A web might have screwed things up, true, but luckily he was able to get far enough away quickly enough.

Autohypnosis can only be used against a poison's secondary effect. So you'd definitely be safe if you made your initial save, but you still have to use fortitude against the primary damage. Cries of the Forest's high movement speed really helped him against the spiders. Those are really good summons, since they have both the Web and the Poison, even if the Poison isn't too great.

Ah drat, yeah, that's true. It was only the Drow poison which was really a worry, though. Spider poison would have been bad, but far from game-ending, whereas the poison arrow would not have been good at all.

Speaking of poison arrows, I'm glad Nathas finally overcame his losing streak. He was looking pretty sad there for a while. I'll make sure to buy up a scroll or two of False Life so he has more than 8 hp sometimes.
