Okay - all of my tactics have been sent.
Have fun this week guys. I'll be out of contact for the most part from Sunday on (I'll check in when I can - but expect it to be significantly less until I get back on Saturday 9/15)

Tactics for Ven and The Hunter out, still trying to figure out Al'Tiar. Only 2 foes it could be, but Hags and Phthisics are rough...

Tactics for Al'Tiar are out. I'm hoping on an overly-elaborate scheme, but I'm not expecting much.

Thanks for the run, Uknits!
Funny outcome-- this whole time I thought my weapons were going to be sundered since they were all hafted, but instead it was just a good old fashioned slugfest. I was hoping to mitigate the effects of Enlarge Person with a Shield of Faith, but maybe just stacking AC is better in these Fighter vs Fighter type situations.
Definitely a tense and close fight the whole way through. I'm surprised Kinslayer did so well after the Strength Damage. Maybe he has a chance in the arena after all.

Kinslayer has the makings of an endurance character. The strength damage had actually worn off by the end of the fight. Sky high AC is actually really nice if you are facing a weapon based foe.
That said, I remebered 2 things of note just now.
1. Unless it is specifically listed in your main AC calculation, your shield does not start equipped. You can equip it as a move action, so it has no effect here, but for the future.
2. When enlarged, you lose 2 dex. This means you cannot use dodge while enlarged with your dex.

Tactics in for Krug. Tactics received for Rac'quin and Grannick. I'll be running the fight on Sunday as usual. Kinslayer has the makings of an endurance character. Oh man these are both pretty important. Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure to put the Shield in the main calculation, and I guess when he hits ECL 4 Kinslayer can put a point into Dex to solve that problem.

Also of note about Kinslayer; his backstory is awesome.

Thanks!
I actually ended up writing the backstory because of the character name. I wanted a character whose name was a single word. He'd have to be so famous that this one word would define him. I eventually decided it would also work as a mark of shame instead of pride. He couldn't just be a Kinslayer though; there has to be intrigue, and an enemy.
I'm surprised it turned out so compelling. Having a climactic face-off with his brother was good. I think I'll adapt this guy to be my next PC after he retires from the arena. The backstory is ripe for plot-hooks and character motivation.
