Just popping in before I head off. Wow, I hadn't expected to win just off Wild Surge and a key miss.
I hadn't thought low obstacles were sufficient to block LoS even to Small creatures unless they're prone, but I guess if it grants cover it would allow him to Hide. Either way it wouldn't have made any difference in this case.
Ialia definately has some things to put on her shopping list, anyway (I think those crawling tattoos would have been perfect for her...).

I'll be running the Griffon/Zernian fight tonight-- ran out of time last night.
Regarding the little walls, they give cover to medium and small creatures within 30', and if such a creature lies prone they completely block LoS. Although Beezel was not a good hider, at a distance of 450' there wasn't a way to spot him, and because the obstacle was close to him and far from you, it didn't grant you a hide check.
Given that he turned invisible anyways, all it meant is you had a chance of exploring in the wrong direction, which probably wouldn't have done much other than tack on an extra 10-20 turns of wandering around before the same fight started.

Checking in from away- Thanks for the run(s)! Yay Hayrol! Re: zernian- totally missed intimidate/ha; well played, hater-of-allies Uknits. I'm not sure the horse gets those other attacks anyway, but doesn't make a difference so whatevs.
Thank you all for those runs!

It saddens me that I could not kill the horse, but such is the cost of actually having a chance of winning. Thank you for the run. Now to buy Griffon that adamantine sword....

Oh, right, a light horse cannot fight while carrying a rider. Luckily, it didn't make a difference, but I'll keep that in mind for future fights.

The first time that Gulgar takes a 5ft step and then moves - there's a problem - because he can't actually do that. If you take a 5ft step, you cannot move any further in the round.
This would fall into the category of Gulgar being unable to attack at range and take out the skeleton with his flail.
You are right that the hoary steed cannot dive with a hoof - but it could technically with a bite since that is all types of damage. However, since the charge missed and if it had used the bite instead, the attack bonus would be lower - it doesn't actually matter.

Sorry, I completely forgot about not combining a 5-foot step with a move.
I'll continue the fight and preserve Gulgar and the steed's respective attack rolls, so Gulgar will miss on his full-round melee attacks in Round 3 (6+15=21 and 2+10=12, misses again steeds AC 20+2). In round 4, the steed will miss on its first hoof attack (total is 24 without charge), but the second attack will hit, and I''ll continue from there with its bite attack.
Edit: a few more mistakes noticed from above. I'll just get them resolved as I re-do this part of the fight, rather than continuing to mention them here. Attack rolls and damage rolls will be preserved as much as possible.
