Ok, I've re-run Cazadora vs Bilgly. Several exciting crits in between the fighters moving back and forth trying to outguess each other.

If you see any more problems, please let me know.

Sorry Uknits - I wasn't really intending on doing you in with magic missiles, but if the opportunity presents itself...

Thanks for the run and dgallaty - thanks for the rerun.

For the Erith vs. Ellia fight, you forgot political career.  I should have 630 XP and 671.58 GP.

In both round 15 and round 20, you didn't roll to confirm the crit; with mobility, those crits will probably not confirm, which could easily change the result of the fight.  (You should also roll to confirm the crit by Bilgly in round 13.)

As two more side points:
1. Usually when rerunning a fight you use the same session as before, and any reusable rolls (e.g. attacks with the same bonus) are reused, to prevent a situation in which the rerun changes the result due to a different set of rolls rather than due to fixing the actual mistake.  I doubt that's something that calls for its own rerun, though.
2. It's a lot easier to read the fight (or at least I find it to be a lot easier) if you don't put each round in its own spoiler tag.  Have a bolded or underlined heading for each round, but spoiler tags make it more awkward to read the whole thing because you have to open all the tags.

Thanks for the run.

Ever want to try your hand at optimizing, but don't like excessive splatbook use?

As a side question, in terms of recycling orphaned rolls (like +7 spot roll when it turns out a guy didn't have LoS, so you don't use it) how do you do it? You can just change the round # for it, so I usually reserve a roll for another one of the same type-- since you can't change the modifier. I'm thinking there are two methods here, and I just use the easier one, and I was wondering if that was okay.

Method 1:The first idea is that  since the spot roll is 1d20+7, if he has to make a listen check at +2 the next round, I just use the d20 roll from the orphaned spot roll and combine it with the listen mod, and the "order of dice rolls" is maintained.
Method 2: The other idea is that since it's easy to move a roll to another round, I just save his spot roll until he needs a spot, since the d20 was rolled for "spotting", not listening or something else-- so the purpose of the roll is maintained. He can't use it for a save or something, as it was a spot check.

I use the "Conservation of Purpose" method since it's simple but would it be better to use "Conservation of Rolling Order"? Or does it not matter as long as the rolls get re-used in a consitent way

Yikes! You're quite right, I'll roll to confirm and continue the fight as necessary.

To be honest, there is no real simple way to fix up fights, it's just that if you rolled someone a crit and then realised they couldn't have acted at that point in time, there's the notion that that's what they "would have" rolled if you had rolled it in the correct round. Typically I would then just use that round the next time someone attacked, but I wouldn't use the d20 for a Spot or anything - as much as anything, a 20 on a Spot is not as beneficial. OK there's still that idea that if you'd rolled things in that order, you would have rolled the 20 first, but I think a more important thing is that you attached the roll to an attack before you made it - once the result is known, you can't then change it. To be honest, though, this starts to go through Probability and into Philosophy so just make sure it's consistent and try to make sure it's not necessary.

There's also the fact that it's clearer if the description on the roll remains more-or-less accurate, rather than an attack turning into a Listen or whatever.

I'm beginning to think that we should simply abolish Political Career.
