Is a familiar considered to be the caster for terms of spells that exclude the caster?  Example: Ghoul touch sickens people near the victom except the caster.  Would a familiar be subject to that same sickness?  Likewise, would a familiar be able to see through the caster's blacklight?

I don't think so, though possibly they should be.

The text for Confusion reads: "(for this purpose, a familiar counts as part of the subject’s self)".  Thus, that would imply that for other purposes the familiar does not count as part of its owner.

I feel as that is more of a clarification as if the familiar is a seperate entity or not.  For the spells like blacklight and ghoul's touch, it seems to be more akin to sharing a spell's exception.
