A linux based desktop can run under $200 easy. It would run any program you need for text editing and web browsing.
As for this week, seems like a mess. I can't pick up any more fights unless you want them done late Wednesday night, and I'm in 2 of them. My main fight will be up tonight, and I'm trying to get that extra ECL 4 fight in toinight as well.

There are bigger issues at hand unfortunately, none of which I am willing to present publicly.

If these fights are going to be held over to next week, are we going to have the same issue then? Do we need one of those State of Emergency thingies?

All right, here we go, Arlo vs Rilirod.
Not sure I did all the hiding/spotting stuff correctly there, but hopefully I didn't miss anything which would actually change the outcome. I'm not certain I counted all the arrows and stuff up either so if I'm off, let me know.
Just FYI, shooting at Rilirod while _he_ was stunned instead of Veneno was fine. You followed the spirit of the tactics, if not the letter. I'll be more clear next time to eliminate any confusion.
I'm still new to Gladius, so can you explain why the XP and Gold rewards were 675 for the winner and 375 for the loser?

Because Rilirod has an ally, specifically his horse. This gives him an advantage over you, and so he suffers a penalty to rewards and you gain extra rewards for beating him as a result.

I don't think we'll need a State of Emergency declared unless TelinArtho is in fact going to be unable to run fights for an extended period of time.

I'm looking into a couple of options this weekend.
Unfortunately, this makes it virtually impossible to do pairings this week as well, since it would be pretty obvious if I was rolling dice by hand at my desk. So let's plan for a double week, that way I can have the time to make up my fights (hopefully), and can come up with another option.
This also means I may need to change the pairings time so that it doesn't coincide with work.

I hope everything is ok; if there IS anything and of us can help with, please ask/let us know! your solution sounds totally reasonable -- if a change in pairings time is all that happens, I am sure no one will even notice the change and we'll all get used to it really quickly. The rest of your posts sound far more ominous, so this last one definitely constitutes "awesome reassuring update."
Hope everything is ok!

I completely second that. With so many characters held up in holdover fights anyway (not to mention my own need for extra time to run my fights), this seems like a good idea for everybody. I sincerely hope and pray that things work out for you.

Just as a heads up, won't be doing my fights until Thursday in light of the double week (and my 40 page project for finals)
