This is a miniquest for Kira to attain Talaric tests in order to become a Warmind. If you are not Eluria or myself, please reserve all comments for the fight of the week thread.
Kyra sits at her home, meditating upon her most recent losses. One loss, though, stands out in her mind. As she comteplates, though, she hears a knock upon her door.

Her contemplation interrupted, Kyra rises slowly, brushing aside her procelain-white robes, and opens the door, greeting her visitor. "Greetings, friend."

As she begins her greeting, the starnger makes a motion of his hand, and Kyra sees the robes marking him as one of the high ranking members of her discipline. "Greetings, disciple," he responds. "I have not seen you in the arena for many weeks, now, and I am concerned. Those who represent our way are rare. What have you undertaken that keeps you away from betteriung yourself with the blade in the arena?"

Chastised, Kyra acknowledges her failures, "Apologies, brother. I admit, my losses over the past months troubled me; I sought to medidate on my failings -- whether the weakness was within my mind, or my body. Fear not, for my faith is as strong as ever."
"I was stricken by my loss to the small, noble knight, guardian of the ancient tome that I seek; I have prayed for a path to the knowledge of the Talaric way, to walk the path of the Sublime Blade... but I know not where to turn."
"I have purified my mind and body; these weeks have strengthened my soul, and I am ready to renew my quest for the secrets of the Sublime Blade. I await only a sign, a signal of where to begin."

"Then let me remind you; the way of the Blade is a way that requires action. You know your goal and where it lies. To advance one's self, you must not just meditate on your past defeats, but return and overcome them. Why do you wait for a sign when you know where your goal lay? You already have what you need." The man then leaves before Kyra can respond.

Pondering his words, Kyra sets her jaw in grim determination, murmurs a series of prayers, and buckles on her armor. Hefting her blade, she decides to seek the same Temple where she had encountered the small warrior last. Her path had once gone through that site; perhaps the path again lay through those same doors.

Kyra heads to the old temple. The doors have completely fallen from there hinges as Kyra heads down the hidden staircase as before. A smell, though, hits her. The smell of burning flesh and brimstone.... As she nears the entrance to the room, she hears a voice, a voice uncannily like the man who visited her only moments before. "Yes master, I have collected the souls of almost every member of the sublime blade in the city. Only the young whelp and the secret one remain.""You have yet to find who it is" responds a voice, deep and deadly. "My lord, it is a matter of time...""SILENCE!" shouts the voice. "She approahces."The door flings open of its own accord. In the center of the room, where the text was once held, an orb rests, full of several distinct lights. A great deamon stands in the center, but he is restrained by something. In a corner, blood is spilling from a small body and a dog. "You are among the final of your order." The deamon says. "How excellant that the undoing of your order is my freedom."The small biped in the center turns on you, and 2 small portals open. The are tiny and you can guess the creatures fly since they are off the ground, but you cannot see them. How do you want to start? They are 2 tiny bipeds with wings and a small biped without wings.

Start as shown, holding wand of divine favor and potion of antitoxin. Do I know which direction the 2 invisible flying things came from? If they both came from the same direction, move away while buffing.
Round 1: Force screen surged +2 for +5Shield AC Round 2: if not engaged (attacked) yet, drink antitoxin and draw greatsword; if engaged, may change thing. Round 3: if not engaged/attacked yet, use wand of divine favor and drop it, move into position to charge foe if possible
I assume will be engaged by this time
"What infernal foulness is this? You do not belong here; not on this realm, and certainly not on this hallowed ground!"
Kyra falls into her stances, using her faith and her mind to layer defenses about her in order to deal with this otherworldly threat. Glancing at the noble knight, the small paladin and his faithful steed, she steels herself and clenches her jaw, determined to avenge the brave guardian.

Kyra pulls up her psionic shield and drinks a potion just in time to feel the razor sharp claws of a small creature which pulls away. The wound seems to be poisoned, but Kyra has no trouble resisting it. As she shrugs off the weak blow, though, she takes the sting of another creature diving into her as a second creature appears. As if not enough creatures existed, the small creature on the ground casts some kind of spell and creates another of its kind which swipes uselessly at her. "Resist the hordes of the underworld if you will, but know that I have existed far longer than your order and will live on past your order's destruction by my hand." You've taken 4 damage total, and you have one of the creatures in your square. You have the wand equipped, but you've yet to use it.
