Quwibbik sits in hios usual spot in the tavern, annoyed as usual with his minimal gain in the arena. If only the Nimbus had a loophole....
"Hey, have you heard about the dragon on the loose?" says a small man at a nearby table. "Yeah, they claim he's gone off the deep end and killed few monsters. So what?" replys his compatriat. "The Nimbus just revives 'em." "Normally, but they say he buries 'em alive and they dies of starvation. The Nimbus don't bring you back from dying of age, now do it? He could nab anybody in the southern corner."

Qwuibbik's ears perk up at this conversation, and he absenmindedly reaches into his pouch to stroke the embalmed half-giant arm he recently acquired. The Nimbus doesn't revive those who die from old age... how novel! This Dragon is a *genius*!
Turning to the men, Qwuibbik eyes them carefully, remembering well the last time he followed the directions of someone at a bar. Did you say there is a Dragon in the Southern part of Gladius who captures folks and buries them alive 'til death? How terribly... umm... cruel, yes, that's it, how cruel!
Someone should put a stop to this... do you know where exactly this malevolent beast makes his lair?

They turn to see the small goblin and smile. "You don't mean to say you gonna beat up a dragon? You out of your bloomin' mind? " "Hey, he's one o' 'em Gladiators they say. And a real good one at that," interupts the other man. "He lurks in the southern field. Nothin' much but farmland down there."

I will admit guilt to posting here and not posting the monster for Ashtin / Kraegin, but I can post at work, just not do much else, unfortunately.
Also, I absolutely LOVE your creative idea for how to kill things without Nimbus-reviving; pure awesome. Qwuibbik approves. I may want to ally with this dragon!
Glancing at the second man with a grateful smile, Qwuibbik flips a gold piece onto the table and signals the barmaid to bring more drink to the men. I am nothing, friends; a servant of the Beyond, who reach to our realm through me... and in their service I go, and will end this Dragon, and ... restore his captives.
Qwuibbik sets off towards the southern fields, collecting Yethy and his decaying Ogre Mage along the way.
Dragon, huh? Thank the Beyond for Know:Arcana ranks, anyway. I see a few choices, but again can't check sizes, whatever anyway, so just press on for now.
Note to self: 10 SL, plan for Aid, Shield of Faith, Spiritual Weapon, either Dispel or SMIII, Resist Energy over Produce Flame, divine favor oif time, and wand of flames or arrows (if it's Brass, vul cold; if it's White, vul fire, if it's Blue, either) Watch for sleep breath... not sure what to do for that.

Quwibbik quickly heads on towards the farmlands in the southern district. It isn't hard to find; it's the only large sandpit in the city. He sees the dragon, only human sized, sitting and talking to a hydra that has been buried neck(s) deep in sand. What the dragon doesn't realize, though, is that the creature appears to have stopped moving and could only be dead. As Quwibbik approaches, The dragon turns up.
"Why! New friends? Come, I have so much to talk about. Don't you love the weather? My other friends never want to talk about it, but it has been so odd latley, don't you think? The rain pattern are off from last years and the snow is unseasonal so early, but of course...."
The creatuire continues to ramble as he prepares a pit about goblin sized as well as another pit big enough for a Yeth hound and an Ogre.
Plains map, just sand instead of grass. You are in corner 2, he is default in corner 4. You go first.

Qwuibbik grins at the sight of the lolling, freshly killed, non-Nimbus'd hydra, and addresses the dragon:
Wyrm, you are a clever one; I salute your ingenious methods of torture and torment. Quite mad, I think, but nonetheless a certain artistic brilliance. However, it is time for you to see where your victims go... time for you to walk the Gray Road; the Watcher has signalled that your sand has run dry, and the Beyond calls. Fear not; I shall make it painless, and I promise your victims will serve the Beyond here, in Gladius, in your stead...
Qwuibbik commands Yethy to float out towards the dragon (stay about 5' up elevation, single move in; also if possible give Yeth command that "If I am asleep, wake me" but not sure skeleton can do something that complex) Ogre mage flies up about 30' higher than Qwuibbik (trying to prevent both from getting caught in breath, and getting into position to charge/dive for attacking bonuses at first; Ogre Mage will stay roughly this close until there's a chance to attack the dragon - if possible will dive/charge, but will get to melee as soon as possible and attack until destroyed) Qwuibbik himself calls upon The Gray, calling for the aid of the mists (cast Aid)
If I can detect anything else (I know I can't by knowledge, but if it's obvious by how he moves, or what color he looks, or even # limbs {as technically I guess it could be the half-dragon hound archon with this description, but that should be biped, right?... if it is the hound archon, that may change action slightly}, or at least if he has visible gear, please let me know when I can detect it! Dragons are hard... Monsters are so hard! Brahlani, Bearded Devil... dragon! C'mon Qwuibbik, pull through!

I assure you, is is a full dragon. It scales shine in the brillance of the sun, makeing it almost hard to see its true color, but you do see it has an odd cloak and a number of scrolls laid out in front of it. It quickly reads one, though it doesn't seem to interupt the things continuing stream of talk.
"Oh torture, goodness no. I was just talking to these fine fellows about the weather. Of course, they seem to have gone to sleep," he says, indicatin the skeleton of several monsters, "but they have very good thoughts on the unique cold front coming in from the north. After all, usually they come from the east due to the coast, but the northern winds and snow from the north probably pushed...."
The ranting continues as the spell finishes.

This is too funny. You're good! I have half a mind to try to close and interrupt before he can do all these buffs, as I feel like his buffing will be better than mine...
Qwuibbik grins at the witty foe, feeling the touch of the Beyond... the goblin priest could almost feel the Gray Fingers alighting upon the field, reaching out for the starved remains... and one hand was free, waiting for either Qwuibbik or this dragon to join them in the Gray.
The wind you feel is the Last Breath; it is from no cardinal compass direction, it is not from this realm - it is the wind of the Beyond, and it is calling for you, worm.
Qwuibbik calls for more blessings to defend himself from this dread foe.
Qwuibbik casts Shield of Faith. Yeth moves towards dragon Ogre mage runs towards dragon (will try to close quickly and start wearing it down and interrupt its buffing. I don't like this "a number of scrolls laid out"

Quibbik flies in as the dragin's continual stream of talk goe on, even through the castig of another scroll. "Now my dear brother was an excellant conversationalist, He could talk the ears of a halfing and say nothing of value at all! Now our conversation has much more merit. After all, the value of the pressure waves to out curretn society cannot be undervalued. If only more people would come and listen to my seminar, I imagine we would have an entire network of predictive weather services! No more "freak" storms and the like, we could predict every burst of wind...."

Lol again
If you lay down and cease your casting, I can assure you I will introduce you to those who control all such happenstance; the winds you feel blowing through this realm are echoes of the Waves of Gray, in the Sea of Souls, deep in The Beyond. Come, wyrm-of-the-weather, and let me open you to the true driving force of the world.
Note the the Ogre Mage was to Run last round, max speed to close... not sure if that's what happened
Again Ogre Mage will Run (ideally gaining a little height to allow eventual dive/higher ground initial attack Qwuibbik will cast Produce Flames from Wand and stow it while Yeth closes Any visible spell effects, or spellcraftage identifying? All this scrolling is somewhat unnerving. It's a dragon already, after all!
Most likely Next: divine favor, then spiritual weapon, then Dispel Magic on it, then Resist Energy on self.
