Beauty'n'Beast vs Statuesque is up.

Actually the real issue I had is that you didn't really specify Beast to attack at all until after you used Avalanche strike and Wildblood Frenzy. I didn't see anything else that beast wanted to do though.

The other problem ended up being that Beast ended up attacking right before Beauty - so the plan for Rune of the Final Effort/Avalanche strike really didn't work out - though that was more bad luck than anything else.

WOW crazy fight! SOOO lucky on Beast's two recoveries. Burned through some surges, though.

As for tactics...I guess it was kinda buried... I meant to keep the tactics as short as possible, but in there is this:

beast will take total defense, and use Curtain of Steel on the first Gargoyle to attack him

(this power was missed, and is Beast's best encounter power and the reason he can take total D instead of having to ready attacks. With the win, no need to change anything as only surges used might differ and I think he has enough left as teams focus Beauty first.)

then later on, I just meant ready and attack for when a gargoyle swoops in (but as it turned out he always had one adjacent, so you played it perfectly):

beast will ready attacks for when gargoyles are adjacent if there are none

You are right about not specifying any other powers to attack with until bloodied - the wording at the end of this should have been just "default to howling strike". my bad.

beast uses avalanche strike on a gargoyle right after beauty uses rune of the final effort on him. he will action point for wildblood frenzy then as well. default to howling strike after this

Elven Bouncers vs Earth, Wind and Fire is up!

A really great fight, some very intense rounds! I enjoyed playing this one out, and I think you'll enjoy the read (well, at least once the formatting is fixed :s)

Let me know if I missed anything!

@Telin: Thanks for that run, it looks like it turned into a marathon . I feel like that will almost always be the issue for two PCs vs monsters at the higher levels, is that true? Is there any way around it other than running separate threads (to at least alleviate some work off the pitlord)?

Not to take away from Beauty 'n' Beast's narrow win, but what happened to the cultists' Petrifying Fount when they died? I know some were killed at range, but it looks like at least one was killed in melee.

Don't re-run the fight if it was missed. I'll just modify the tactics to highlight this feature.

Looks good, thanks for running it and providing fight narration! A narrow victory, but I'll take it.

Whoa!! Good point. I knew there was another reason I was going to leave the cultists be until the end - so if I failed the saving throw it wouldn't be all that bad - resist 20 means the cultists can't even damage you, but the gargoyles might with their +15.

It wasn't missed - I just forgot about it when it came to the 2nd and 3rd cultist (I remembered to check for the first one...).

Anyway - I don't have time to fix and with Curtain of steel forgotten - it likely would have helped anyway - so I'll just chalk it up to being even in the end.

Thanks for the pitlording, dgallaty!

Great fight, Telin. It amazes me how action points almost always end up turning battles, more so than daily powers a lot of the time.
