Very close indeed. Once again though, the dice are against me (another >4.0 point differential on d20s.. can't really expect to win like that.) That's 20% unfair (lol)!
I think my tactics backfired a bit here, I should have allowed Beast to charge in to the defender instead of hunting the striker at the beginning.
One question though; if Beast falls after Beauty is dead, does the Horn Tusk armor not trigger? Or no point because it is deemed that he fell to zero hitpoints first? If so I'll want to trade that armor out, as it just lost half of it's usefulness. I thought it would actually allow him to still win the fight, as it is an interrupt of him falling down - therefore if he felled the opponent it happens before he falls. In this case, it is actually possible that he does indeed reduce Kelra to zero hitpoints (either a crit, or a hit with max damage roll would be exactly enough as the armor grants a +1 attack and damage bonus to the MBA, Kelra is at 24 hp and Beast's max damage on the power is 8+8+8.)
@Telin: Beast should have been shifting away from Kelra as per "- shift/move away if possible", although I guess with Thorn Strike and the rolls that happened it wouldn't make a difference, just wouldn't have been CA on the next attack.
@dgallaty: That Thunder Step was a very key disable, great use of the power (especially in combo with Earthgrasp.) Beauty never even got to attack! (so much for the gloves of piercing!) Also your tactics worked out great here, preventing Beast from getting the swift charge attack and not allowing him to keep the defender marked so Beauty would be safe to draw OAs.

Nope - I just missed the horn tusk armor - I'll roll and see if it makes a difference. Horn Tusk attack: 1d20+12+1=32; 2d8+7+1=19So - much closer - but not quite enough. As to shifting away - Beast wasn't doing anything that would prevent Kelra from moving adjacent if Beast moved away - so I don't see how it would have made a difference. Maybe I'm missing something though. I agree about the Thunder step - though what made it exceptionally nasty was the fact that Beauty failed the save once (and one failed save when dazed is huge...) EDIT: Fight has been updated to include the horn tusk armor.

Fun, thanks! Wow almost, a 19! And got one of the two 8's needed!

Well for one that would mean the move action converted to a minor for second wind in round 6 would have to be a move action, or else use Thorn Strike and lose the CA. Then again, I might have ended up too far away for the Horn Tusk armor.
Thanks for the exciting run, Telin!

Ah okay - I see what you mean - thanks for explaining.
I'll not revise since I don't have time and none of Kelra's rolls would have missed without CA (she never hit by just 1 or 0). Still - thanks.

Definitely! No worries I wasn't asking for any changes there; and again thanks - great fight and very well run. Nail biter right to the end! I always get so excited when my fight is posted.
I'm still trying to get more friends involved, perhaps I'll get one or two!

Thanks! It's become one of my favorite daily powers, allowing Wardens to sidestep the other team's defender and lock the striker or leader down.
