Nature's Bounty (Azure_mage) vs Raw Power (Half_Dragon_Infernal)


Nature's Bounty's tactics Show

Thanks for pitlording this fight.

Nature's Bounty vs Raw Power

Aramil starts with bow in hand, Olsen with a dagger. Start by summoning the spirit companion then move into the arena and make stealth checks. Until contact is made, move and ready an attack each round.

Aramil defaults to twinstrike, Olsen will use eldrich blast.

Both will focus on Dragnos first, using Witchfire and Two-fanged strike asap, use Elven Accuracy if Aramil misses. Olsen will use Fade Away first time he is hit and move round a corner, stealth then attack again (When attacking, Olsen remains hidden if he misses).

Use the Spirit Companion to provide cover.

Don't move to closer than 3 squares of each other to keep out of blasts or burst.

If Divor summons his Angle of Fire, just shift away and ignore it.

No time for second winds in this fight.

Raw Power's tactics Show

Resources: I'll burn off my final action point on both guys, and then Divor will use "Summon: Angel of Fire" the first round instead of readying an attack. Move counter-clockwise, sticking to the perimeters.

Priority for Dragnos:

1. Frostbind
2. Burning Spray if both within range
3. Chaos Bolt if they are within five squares of eachother
4. Dragonfrost if they are six or more squares apart.

Priority for Divor:

1. Blades of Astral Fire if you can hit both one of the opponents and Dragnos
2. Vanguard's Lightning if you can hit one of the opponent's while they are in melee with Dragnos. If only characters affected by Vanguard's Lightning's effect are in melee, take a full move and attack instead of just shifting and firing.
3. Divine Bolts if both enemies are within range.

Divor attacks with Vanguard's lightning Divine Bolts [25-2 vs Reflex 15, 25-2! vs Reflex 15; Dmg 1d6+4=10]. The spirit is killed and deals 5 damage to Aramil.

No tactics were sent for The Bladebully Babes so Archer's Rage win by default. Sorry this is late posting but I left it for as long as possible hoping the fight would go ahead.

TelinArtho]Dirty Fighting vs Hymns of Battle

Okay - not sure how well I'll manage here, but here goes nothing...

Rack will start at (3,4) with his sword and shield equipped. Thera will start at (4,4) with a dagger and a shuriken in hand.

General plan - focus on one target at a time - Rack to set up flanking for Thera and then punish liberally.

Rack will move out and ready to attack with Tide of Iron on anyone who comes into range. He will do so until the ready is triggered.

Thera will move out and stay near, but behind Rack in a position of hiding as best as possible. Ready to attack with sly flourish on the first opponent seen without cover.

After the readies trigger, Rack will ready to use Covering Attack once Thera is adjacent to the opponent if there is enough room to shift past the opponent. If not, he'll use Tide of Iron to position the enemy for it in a future round.

Thera will attack from hiding when possible or from flanking if the opportunity is given. Attack with a dagger in melee or thrown shurikens from range. After the initial ready is triggered, attack with Easy Target and follow it up with Sly Flourish while at range or with Positioning Strike if in melee and can position into flanking for future attacks. Use Eyebite if in a situation where unable to gain CA and need to get out of melee. Use the Shifty power to negotiate better attacking positions or to block LOS after an attack when possible.

Once Rack is down at least a healing surge in health, he'll attack with Comeback strike until it hits. Once it hits, he will action point for either Tide of Iron or Covering Attack (if it hasn't been used yet). After that, if he is down a healing surge again, he'll use his Second Wind as a minor action. Thera will use her second wind on becoming bloodied. Healing word can be used after the second winds when the target is bloodied.

In general, attempt to engage the paladin first unless the bard is already in melee. Try to avoid provoking the Divine Challenge penalty.

Hymns of Battle v Dirty Fighting


Resources: Elrin still has an AP and both have still to use their daily powers. Both also still have loads of surges. As this is their last fight in this cycle feel free to burn anything it takes.


Advance with Carios in front, using stealth, and ready attacks. Carios wants to hit Rack with Radiant Delirium or Thera with an Eyebite before moving into combat, challenging Rack. Elrin wants to hit Rack with Stirring Shout early to max the hp recovery per hit for Carios.


Carios will use Fearsom Smite followed by Enfeebling strikes until Rack goes down. Next go after Thera, again with Enfeebling Smites.


Elrin will stick close to Carios to stop Thera from flanking but keep out of contact with Rack. If she goes for the hide-attack-hide tactic then hold to interupt with a Vicious Mockery. Use Shout of Triumph only if it will hit Thera, don't target just Rack, can be used to get Carios into a corner to stop flanking etc. Use AP in combo with Eyebite for Daily or Encounter attack.


Carios has 1 lay on hands use left and Elrin has 2 Magestic Words. Use a healing power as soon as either goes bloodied. Use Second Wind only as last resort.

Archer's Rage (Draidden) vs. Swift Hammer (TelinArtho)



Archer's Rage's tactics Show

Carric starts out with his bow in his hand and Maveith starts out with his halberd.

Maveith will use a single move action to move out towards the middle of the map, while Carric will delay and cover him with his bow.  Carric will attempt to stay back and shoot from a distance , while Maveith will move to the nearest cover once their opponents are spotted.. Carric will use Hunter's Quarry and shoot the first one he sees . Maveith will delay until one gets close enough for him to charge and attack or until one moves within reach. Having the halberd allows him to hit them before they even get to him.

Carric will use Split the Tree if both targets are near each other, otherwise use Twin Strike. In either case he will use Hunters Quarry for extra damage on the first hit each round. His tactic is to use Twin Strike on one target if they are not in melee reach. If they are he will use Nimble Strike if shifting one space would get him away. If not he will use Evasive Strike which allows him to shift 3 squares before his attack. If he can't get away then he will drop the bow and draw his weapons and attack with Twin Strike, keeping Hunter's Quarry on whichever he is attacking.

Maveith will use Avalanche Strike on the first one to close with him. If they stay at a distance he will throw a Javelin at them. If he has taken more than half his hp  in damage he will use Recuperating Strike to attack otherwise he will use Devastating Strike to try to drop them fast. If he drops one he will use Swift Charge to get at the other one. He will also activate Stones endurance as a delayed minor action on the first round that the enemy moves in to attack him, after he attacks, but before they do. So if there is only one near him and he drops them, he will save it for later.

If they can, they will target the Cleric first to try to remove his healing abilities from the fight. Also if they manage to drop one of the opponents they will Coup de Grace them to keep them out of the fight.

If they drop to less than 1/2 their max hp they will use Second Wind and then use their Action Point to get in an attack.

Swift Hammer's tactics Show

Swift Hammer's tactics

I apparently never updated after the 3rd fight which is here. However the only thing I used in that fight is one healing surge.

Start off with rod in hand for Felamir and a warhammer for Barandor. Immediately move out and ready lance of faith/dreadful word on sight of an opponent without cover. Once the ready triggers, follow it up with more lances of faith and dread star. At first engagement, action point for both characters. Barandor will use second wind when he is at least a surge down. Felamir will curse at first opportunity.

Use healing words when at least down 12hp for either character.

Felamir should lead the way in general. If Barandor can make use of divine glow - please do so.

Round 2



Felamir shifts to (8,16) and curses Maveith and attacks with Dire Radiance (21 vs 16 Fort, 3 damage and if Maveith moves closer to Felamir she will take more damage). Felamir then uses an action point to attack Maveith with Eldrich Blast (14 vs 13 Ref, 6 damage).
Maveith attacks Felamir with Avalanch Strike (23 vs 15 AC, hit) but Felamir uses Second Chance (26! vs 15 AC, 39 damage and attackers get +4 to attack rolls against Maveith) killing Felamir and Maveith gains 3 temporary hp. Maveith then uses Swift Charge, setting off Felamir's Dire Radiance effect (4 damage), chargeing Barador (27! vs 16 AC, 16 damage).
Carric Double moves to (9,17) and makes Barador his quarry.
Barador uses Healing Word on himself (13 hp regained), shifts to (3,17) and attacks Maveith with Lance of Faith (23 vs 13 Ref, 12 damage) dropping Maveith.

Thunderstorm!

Thunderstorm tactics Show

First of I vote against this map, although i don't that won't change anything it will severely hinder my tactics. Anyway,

Lightning will default to Wolf Pack Tactics unless Thunder is adjacent to the target in which case he will use Commander's Strike. He will use his racial power as soon as possible.

Thunder will always attack with his short sword the very first time he gains combat advantage he will use tourtureous strike (standard) and predator eye (minor) and will default to sly flourish.

Round one after initiative is rolled if there is an opponent activating between Thunder and Lightning then the higher of the two in initiative will delay until they are Thunder and Lighning don't have an oppenet 'activating' between their turns and that Lightning will go first.

As far as tactics go Thunder will lead out first making as much noise as possible in an attempt to bait the raging Maveith's avalanche strike + charge and Lightning will hide around the corner behind the bush. An Ideal Place to be would be 12,8 for the rouge and 13,6 for the warlord. After being hit by the attack (probably in -hp) on Lighning's turn he will attept to create a possible flanking position (assuming Maveith is in 11,8) by moving to 10,8 (provoking OA's) using Inspiring word word on Thunder and attacking him with combat advantage (flanked and the rouge can attack) using Wolf Pack if Maveith is at 11,9 then Lightning will do the same just moving to 10,9 instead.

On Thunder's turn he will shift (if necessary) to gain combat advantage use predetor eye and tortureous strike on the barbarian.

Flanking and attacking will continue until the Maveith is killed.

Afterwards attacking Carric will be simply move as close as possible and attack (charge if necessary) using healing words if they still exist.

No dalies, No second winds

You won't automatically know if someone acts between your characters unless you are able to see the opponent acting (or have detected the action in some way). That said - you can delay with one until the other says he's ready and then delay with the other character while the first acts.



Archer's Rage
Archer's Rage tactics Show

I hope these are not too late for the fight. Been busy trying to keep the one I am running going and almost forgot to send this to you.

Here are the tactics for Archers Rage

Carric starts out with his bow in his hand and Maveith starts out with his halberd.

Maveith will use a single move action to move out towards the middle of the map, while Carric will delay and cover him with his bow.  Carric will attempt to stay back and shoot from a distance , while Maveith will move to the nearest cover once their opponents are spotted.. Carric will use Hunter's Quarry and shoot the first one he sees . Maveith will delay until one gets close enough for him to charge and attack or until one moves within reach. Having the halberd allows him to hit them before they even get to him.

Carric will use Split the Tree if both targets are near each other, otherwise use Twin Strike. In either case he will use Hunters Quarry for extra damage on the first hit each round. His tactic is to use Twin Strike on one target if they are not in melee reach. If they are he will use Nimble Strike if shifting one space if it would get him away. If not he will use Evasive Strike which allows him to shift 3 squares before his attack. If he can't get away then he will drop the bow and draw his weapons and attack with Twin Strike, keeping Hunter's Quarry on whichever he is attacking.

Maveith will use Avalanche Strike on the first one to close with him. If they stay at a distance he will throw a Javelin at them. If he has taken more than half his hp  in damage he will use Recuperating Strike to attack otherwise he will use Devastating Strike to try to drop them fast. If he drops one he will use Swift Charge to get at the other one. He will also activate Stones endurance as a delayed minor action on the first round that the enemy moves in to attack him, after he attacks, but before they do. So if there is only one near him and he drops them, he will save it for later.

If they can, they will target the Cleric first to try to remove his healing abilities from the fight. Also if they manage to drop one of the opponents they will Coup de Grace them to keep them out of the fight.

If they drop to less than 1/2 their max hp they will use Second Wind and then use their Action Point to get in an attack.

(Included a map with starting positions at 4,15 for Carric and 4,18 for Maveith. Unfortunately, the map is the hedge - not the small arena.)

Hopefully that is not too confusing and does not mess up any of the rules.

Thunder moves to (8,17), making enough noise to be clearly heard two arenas away.
Lightning moves to (5,18) and hides [Stealth 0].
Maveith moves towards the noise (4,7) and readies to charge someone in range. [Stealth 14]
Carric moves to (3,5) and readies twin strike on a target in sight. [Stealth 3]


Round 2


Thunder hears movement to the south and delays for someone to attack.
Lightning also delays.
Maveith moves towards the noise (4,12) and charges the source (6,15) [10 vs AC16, miss]
Thunder shifts to (7,16), uses predatory eye and readies to attack once Lightning is in position.
Lightning moves around to (5,14), triggering the read. Thunder attacks with tortuous strike [12 vs AC16, miss]
Lightning attacks with Commander's Strike [23 vs AC16, hit; Dmg 1d6+4+4=12; Backstab 2d8+4=11]
Carric moves to (6,9), declares quarry on Lightning and attacks with twin strike [15,22 vs AC18, 1 hit; Dmg 1d10=10; Quarry 1d8=6]

Thunder (7,16) 23/23, predatory eye used, torturous strike used
Lightning (5,14) 6/22, bloodied
Maveith (6,15) 8/31, bloodied
Carric (6,9) 25/25, Quarry (Lightning)

Lightning shifts to (4,15) and triggers Thunder's ready [15 vs AC16+2, miss]
Lightning attacks with Commander's Strike [22 vs AC16+2, hit; Dmg 1d6+4+4-5=11-5; Backstab 2d8+4=10 and Maveith falls. He uses inspiring word on himself [1d6+5=7]
Carric moves to (6,11) and attacks Lightning with Twin Strike [20,7 vs AC18, 1 hit; Dmg 1d10=4; Quarry 1d8=6].

Raging Wrath vs Paladins of New Promethia Seperate Thread

Raging Wrath Win gains 2 VP

Torgar has used Bloodhunt rage, his Action Point, Resounding from his Maul, and His Bloodcut Armor

Gerak has used Purging Flame, both his Action Points, and Wall of Light

Paladins of New Promethia lose gain 1 VP
