Hi Give the relative new-ness of 2 of our players, there is a slight skewing towards ECL3/ECL4 activity. This is pretty typical, as (obviously) new characters start down there, so those levels are always pretty active. There is also a lot of chatter about some mid-level builds in the Character Build Thread. We just recently had some success with a 3 vs 3 separate thread fight. This, and the start of summer (well, "post Memorial Day") got me thinking about running a short campaign/long quest to get some activity in the ECL6/7 range. I was wondering if anyone/who would be interested in a: --roughly 6-9 encounter (probably 8-12 weeks) short CoCo campaign (using CoCo rules for character creation, with the characters being able to join the active roster free of charge after the campaign). --I was thinking that, to extend some recent themes/mix it up a little, characters for this campaign specifically must have either: LA or RHD Please post here w/ interest/discussion, and will eventually generate a formal thread w/ specifics/details/rules when time allows (this week is HORRENDOUS for me, and I envision most likely trying to start this sometime around second week in June)

Well, I know we mentioned quests a little a while back, but I think Telin suggested keeping them to short quests and running full campaigns at one of the PbP groups (though you could still make it CoCo-compatible, and it might get more people over here). Still, I'd be up for something along those lines (especially if it includes free activation...), though there seems to have been a little bit of a lull around here recently (Vath and Bob have drifted off it seems, and obviously Telin is away). As far as higher-ECL characters go, well, I want to get one or two more up at ECL 5 (Jaob wants his Half-Fiend Thoqqua, Kezereth is not far off, and I can afford to start Turguulploopl at ECL 5 too) and Amalia should reach ECL 6 (new territory) soon. I was also thinking about this one-off high-ECL activation, and am leaning towards the ever-awesome Ogre Mage (well, you did say "Ogre Mage for president") but I'm reluctant to spend that when I might change my mind later (I have a good few options for that offer). But yeah, getting some characters with LA or RHD out would be nice.

I'm potentially interested, depending on how the campaign would work. I haven't participated in any CoCo quests before, but I'm willing to give it a try if it will fit my schedule.

ok; will shelve this, at least until Telin is back - and was going to post a link to it on Real Adventures, and don't envision it as a long - running thing; 1 encounter per week, for 6 encounters or so. will come back to this, as it's pretty hectic right now anyway.

I think the idea is that you would start a new character at that level, and get them activated for free after the quest.
Hope to see you back in the arena soon! (I need more people to kill...)
