Since 3D has come up in a couple fights, I've been trying to think of a way to show that better in a map.  Id doesn't come up much, but when it does it's pretty confusing.  Would it be worthwhile to make a few side view maps as a quick solution? (I still dream of a 3D mapper)

Here's a mockup for a side view of the arena starting box.

Core Coliseum

Weekly arena fights.
3rd and 4th edition.
Why do you resist?

People over the age of 50 are most likely to experience exploding head syndrome. Women are at a higher rate of experiencing it than men. It has been reported in people as young as 10 years old.
Seriously.

On the times that I've needed to make one, I've done something similar to what you've got - but I try to find a reasonable analog within the existing map sets.

3D is always going to be a difficult thing to work with unfortunately. I've talked some with the current maintainer of the mapper (dulsi), but we haven't settled on a solution (and he's been very busy these days too).
