Hadn't thougt about that. I had just assumed 'no'. That could change a good chunk of her strategy.

Weekly arena fights. 3rd and 4th edition. Why do you resist? My Character RosterPeople over the age of 50 are most likely to experience exploding head syndrome. Women are at a higher rate of experiencing it than men. It has been reported in people as young as 10 years old. Seriously. |

Should be yes. You can start invisible with a ring of invisibility after all.

When acquiring allies via such means as Rebuke, how much customisation would I get?
I read about getting an elite-array ally for +1 CR - does that apply here?
Was it decided that you can't get an Advanced creature?
More interestingly, can I get an ally with a template? Since the most common would be Rebuke Undead, it would be odd if you couldn't get Skeletons and Zombies, but can I have a Skeleton or Zombie version of whatever I want? (I mean, in theory I have to find said creature in the first place).
Could I use more estoteric templates (this probably only applies more to e.g. Rebuke elements, since there are only a few templates and most can't be used on undead)? Like, I dunno, a Celestial Thoqqua?

Non purchased animals and rebuked creatures follow pretty much the same rules:
1. Requires at least a miniquest (or BM credits) 2. If you want to customize: 2a. No more than one template (zombie half-giant is fine, zombie half-dragon, half-giant is a no). 2b. You can customize ability scores by applying the elite array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) 2c. You cannot customize the HD of the creature (no advancing) 2d. You can customize the skill choices for a 5 credit cost but be aware that it is subject to approval (as the entry in the rules says - no spellcraft ranks for animals...) 2e. You cannot customize feats unless the critter doesn't have preselected feats mentioned in the entry (a good example of this is a dragon rebuked with the cleric domain ability).
If you aren't sure about something specific - ask.
(Celestial Thoqqua is fine for instance).

OK, thanks. So, no Large Thoqquas for Jaob, but a potential Celestial Thoqqua is actually pretty cool (and since he's rebuking, presumably the alignment difference wouldn't matter?). My original thought was actually a Phrenic Fire Elemental or somesuch, but
On a related note - can you train Magical Beasts with Handle Animal? Or only the ones listed on the Allies page? When I was looking at the Planar Ranger, he gets Wild Empathy without a -4 vs celestial and fiendish animals. Could he use that to get allies a la Handle Animal? Or is Wild Empathy just a dead ability as far as the CoCo goes? The classes with it usually get Handle Animal anyway, after all.

Crawling Tattoos have " a bonus on attack rolls equal to the wearer’s manifester level + his key ability modifier." If I'm not a manifester, do they have an AB bonus of just 0? If I'm a spellcaster, can I add my key ability modifier for that (technically it doesn't specify which ability modifier, if any), even if I'm treated as having an ML of 0?

If you are not a manifester, you just get the size bonus and that's it.

Huh. That's a bit rubbish, but it might still be worth Jaob grapping a couple to help him with his ranged issue.
Another completely random question: Say I fill a Bag of Holding or Handy Harversack with a liquid (or maybe a powder or something). Can I tip it out on someone? How would that work?

Both items require "calling" for a particular item to appear in your hand - so no that wouldn't work. The exception is inverting the bag of holding - which forces all of the contents to spill out, but no - that doesn't really pour over someone - more like about your legs/feet.

Hmm. I was thinking, could I make a liquid with Minor Creation? (Vegetable matter only, but you could make a vegetable-based liquid). How then could I get it into the arena?
On a related note, I'd already considered using a Decanter of Endless Water or somesuch to flood the arena. Be an aquatic race and you suddenly have a massive advantage. However, the arena is far too large - even the smaller ones would probably be too much.
