weh, edit in... and hope the GM is a kind, warm hearted soul.

now with a BLEEP ton of scrolls, the warrior cleric is ready to rock.

and man, I hate that evil has to sudden inflict.  I will toss the aura for a touch attack with some ok damage, but still... a little annoying.  had to dump the idea of buffs so that he would have some healing...

You can be neutral and still get spontaneous inflict. To be honest, I don't think it will be a big deal since you'll only have a couple of spells anyway.

Healing from scrolls is tough. You have to drop or stow your weapon (hello AoO) and usually draw a scroll, then cast it (another AoO). Of course you can 5ft-step, but I think a one-handed weapon/wand of CLW combo could be quite nice (kinda like sword & shield, only not). You give up two-handed weapon damage, but against anyone with a worse damage/round output than 1d8+1, you're essentially unkillable (via direct damage, anyway).

Well, unless they can deprive you of your wand.  But yes, there's a reason that my high-AC characters tend to grab wands of CLW even if they have to dip ranger to make it work.

weh, last minute edit still under the time limit (I think...)

and man, this guy is a full on item caster...  kinda scary I must say.  though I think I may go full barb after this, but I am unsure... I don't see a lot of better options(but if I could a couple credits, he would so go pally of slaughter... lay on pain just looks so fun (touch attack, take level damage....), perhapce after shifting a few points of streangth to charisma.  I could see doing that, but would need to add another solid damage option outside of MM(power attack+truestrike?  handled mooks?  summon monster?  blasting?... unsure)

though, I am tempted to lower streangth and grab a wand of chill touch or shoking grasp, then play tag with level damage...

I recomend trying out this character to see what works and then making a new character with pally o' slaughter.  The learning experience may make you change some design stuff and it's just easier than trying to tack it on to an existing character.

for shocking grasp, energy resistance becomes standard from about level 5 on.  From a cost standpoint, having a scroll with a couple cl3-5 grasps is good to have, but it's not worth the wand price IMO.

chill touch isn't as good because of the save.  unless specified otherwise, the save is the minimum that could carry the spell (so DC 11 for the wand).  The only way around it is getting a wand of hightened chill touch (pricey).  Unfortunately, it doesn't scale with CL like MM or Shocking Grasp.

As a side note, a CL5 energy sub (subdual) shocking grasp could serve you well.

spellwise, I think you're about taped out for the low level stuff.  Acid arrow is nice later (no save or SR), and scorching ray has good damage.  Both are good with energy substitution.  Summons have BS duration at low levels so they don't work well on magic items.  Focusing on increasing attack and damage from weapons (either with pluses, or making sure you always get melee) sounds like the way to go.

Thank you for the high praise.

If you're curious about what I'm meaning by my vague references, check out Unholy Ninja (community.wizards.com/coco/wiki/Vathelok...).  She's a similar kind of build, but with monk instead of barbarian. Earned a Great Renown tag by the end of ECL4.  Her fight history could be illustrative.
Edit: seems the fight history is not linked. Yell

Looking at her past expenditures, it appears I forgot to recommend Enlarge Person and Mirror Image.  The MM+MI combo is silly effective, and Enlarge+Grapple does wonders on casters.

Just want to point out one small correction: Quickdraw allows you to draw weapons as a free action. It will not allow you to draw scrolls quicker.

As a Barbarian, I fancy just mashing things up with a big weapon would be best - I personally favour longsword/longbow, with your other hand free for a wand.

AFAIK, you can only substitute energy damage, but a Wand of Sonic Shocking Grasp (or even Acid) would work. There's really only any point if you get a CL2+ one, though, since you'll probably do more damage with a weapon. Of course, it strikes touch AC and ignores DR, but you don't get any Str bonus or anything.

I would say go with scrolls of things like Shield and Enlarge Person, maybe Magic Weapon. Divine Favour is a nice one. A wand of CLW or suchlike is not a bad idea. You can always get a wand of Chill Touch or Shocking Grasp when you have more cash, but IMO it's a lot of money to spend for an attack which is not necessarily any better.

Which reminds me...
Wasn't it ruled that throw psuedo-weapons like alchemist fire don't count as 'weapons' for quick draw?  I think I meant to redesign Tweak after that came up.
