Received this PM from Sultrador the other day: I refered a friend to this group, (name withheld for the innocent), I noticed there was no real reward for such a thing in the "Ways to get credits" part of the guide. I personally feel that it would at least slightly enhance the number of members you aquire, which from what I have seen is something relatively important to you.
Not a bad idea in my opinion, but I'd like to make it a little more activity-based.
You can get credits for referring people to the CoCo. Each member who signs up for the group and who names you as the referrer (via PM to the GM) will earn you a credit the first time that new member creates a team (for Sagaris)/character (for Gladius) and that team or character is active for the first time.
In addition, for new members who activate a total of 10 times, I'll offer a second credit that will be given both to the referrer and the new member.
Just a draft - please feel free to comment, refine or rework.
In addition to this - I want to remind everyone that we do not allow multiaccounting. If you are found to be the owner of multiple accounts within the group - you will forfeit all credits gained by all of those accounts and will be permitted to keep a single account to go forward with.

can I still get this? Araris is a friend of mine. He still hasn't made his team though. I will ask him to PM you.

Well - this is just proposed at this point. Honestly, I'm wary about giving credits for just referrals because it could give us a spike of multi-account people (which is why I'm putting in the activity requirements). If it does pass - I'll allow a certain amount of "retroactive" credits for it. For someone like Araris though - you wouldn't have gotten a credit yet anyway - got to get a team and activate first Anyway - this thread is to discuss whether it should be given.

Actually, it's not that hard. If anyone is at all suspicious, the moderators have ways of tracking people (IP address, etc.). We've only had one person get caught for this in the past, but don't make the mistake that you can get away with it. (Not against anyone personally, but I don't want anyone who reads this to get that idea.)

I'm actually aware of three cases for the CoCo and then one more before I was a member that Cat told me about.

Okay - I've gone ahead with this. PMs need to come from the new player - not the person who referred them. First credit is on the first week of activation; 2nd credit is on the 10th week of activation.
Enjoy and let's see how this works out!

I've got the first registered Referral. I've gone ahead and updated the Player Bio page with this info for now. I'll apply credits at pairings time (since they are tied to pairings), so make sure you get a credit for it when they apply).
