    About Me

About Me: My job title at Wizards of the Coast is Senior Producer, D&D RPGs. My job is to oversee the creation of all D&D RPG products as well as the people responsible for creating them. I get to work with a lot of talented people, and even boss around some of them. On Monday and Wednesday evenings, I run a D&D 4E campaign ("Iomandra and the Dragon Sea") for two different groups. I'm also the DM in a series of podcasts featuring "Tycho" and "Gabe" of Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz of PvP, and Wil Wheaton (who are all too cool to hang out with the likes of me). My main WoW character is a Level 80 Blood Elf Paladin named Soulkrath.

Mr. Perkins, just wanted to say this, I always wanted to play D&D and never could. A few years back someone pointed me to the Penny Arcade podcasts, and long story short this coming Wednesday will be my fourth session of the Shadowfell keep (amazing coincidence to start with that!), my Eladrin rogue just bluffed Splug to his certain doom against drakes, and I spent the past two nights watching your D&D celebrity matches and the PAX shows. All of these things have given me, a newbie, all sorts of ideas about how to be a better player and PC, and your amazing talent as a storyteller is one of the reasons this is so much fun for me (and why I had those podcasts on continuous repeat for -weeks- before I found myself a group to play with).

You're an inspiration to me, quite literally; I'm trying to think of how I would run a campaign as DM if I had the opportunity, and like many others I would love a chance to bring Parelial Ehlrohir along and face up against the puppets whose strings you tug (if that last bit doesn't give you an idea for a campaign...).

Thank you. Thank you for giving me this joy. Thank you for your part in making D&D what it is. And please, please! by all means, make your live D&D shows more common! Convince Wizards that it's excellent publicity for them; I am proof that it is, if the packed theaters you hosted weren't proof enough!

I started playing last year whenever march of the phantom brigade came out errr a few months after it came out more or less. But I've been interested for a lot longer, I just never had a chance. Recently our group ended, sad face, but I started listening to your group's podcasts, literally a few days ago. I've been wanting to DM since our group ended and started at the beginning of januarary, well learning and what not. The podcasts have helped me a little in learning to set up encounters. Keep it up :)

Hey Chris, I've been a Dungeon Master for a good 7 years or so now (was pretty much thrown into it being the only one of a group, who knew nothing of D&D, that wanted to try it). Recently, I've gone through and listened/watched all the podcasts and live shows of the adventures of Aquisitions Incorperated, and I'm really just blown away at how cool you are. It's the finest DMing, story structure, and battle maps for that matter, that I've ever seen. But what impresses me the most, is just how cool and nice of a guy you seem to be. You've inspired me to take my game to a whole new level, and I just want to thank you for the many hours of grade A entertainment that you've provided for me, and so many others. It has been an honor to listen and watch.

I've been watching your various live D&D games and have caught the D&D bug again after a very long time. Thanks for sparking my creativity again. I would pay good money to be a hero in one of your campaigns! :)
