I wanted them gone too, but as the article I linked to says, they're back. So given that their coming back, let's make the best of what we both agree is a bad situation.

I agree with Willpell here, giving creatures vulnerabilities instead of resistances might be an idea, as it solves the problem of ''Does a sword even cut a fire elmental?'' and ''Do earth elementals bleed mud if I pierce them with my rapier?'', since it basically says ''it just works, but this might work better''.
I still think enemies like trolls should require fire to kill, though, as that was kind of the whole point.

About Me

About Me: I'm your average 29 year old computer geek. I used to game on a regular basis, but not so much since I became a father.

Movies: I'll watch anything that isn't labeled a Romance Drama. I don't see many of the newer flicks lately, I've got a pile on my DVR that I've been meaning to watch.

TV Shows: Adult Swim rules. FX's Fully Baked is nearly as good. I don't like much Anime, but Bleach is great and so is GitS. I don't pay for HBO or Showtime, so there's probably some really good shows on there I haven't seen like Dexter or True Blood.
