Hello Everyone,
Wanted to start a thread to see which Realms novels you're reading now, as well as which novel(s) you hope to read next.
Lately I've been reading novels set in the post-Spellplague era of the Realms.
I started with Bury Elminster Deep, then backtracked to Elminster Must Die. After these I read (and very much enjoyed) Blackstaff Tower and just recently finished up Gauntlgrym.
I'm looking forward to reading the second Neverwinter Saga book (aptly titled Neverwinter) as well as Elminster Enraged. I make no secret of the fact that I love this latest trio of books from Ed Greenwood because they're set in Cormyr and contain a considerable amount of new lore about Cormyr.
Learning the names of new Cormyrean nobles, secrets about the Royal Palace in Suzail (and the Royal Court) and the names of new inns, clubs and other locations is something I enjoy. The map of Northwest Suzail found at the beginning of Elminster Must Die is the sort of thing I hope Wizards of the Coast includes in all their novels.
I'm certain I'll find a use for that map in my D&D campaign set in Cormyr, even though mine is a classic era (i.e. pre-Spellplague era) game.
The Forgotten Realms: It's an ugly baby, but damnit it's our ugly baby.
WotC, please don't wreck the Forgotten Realms a third time in order to introduce the latest version of the D&D rules.
Give us back 3rd Edition's Magic Television concept instead.

I am reading Elminster: the Making of a Mage (as part of Elminster Ascending). I did read Elminster Must Die (see my review), and will read Bury Elminster Deep when it comes out in paperback (not much place at home for hardcovers). And I may read the Neverwinter books, though I generally tend to skip Drizzt novels.

I just finished City of the Dead with the Book Club. We'll be starting Circle of Skulls in a week for anyone interested.
I recently read Neverwinter, and I started Blackstaff so I can get some background before reading Blackstaff Tower.
I actually haven't read any of the Elminister novels, but I hope to get to them at some point this year. I'm thinking of just starting with the new series.

I like the cover for Circle of Skulls a lot.
After I finish reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, maybe I'll get Circle of Skulls and try to catch up with you guys.

Mr_Miscellany, just finished Venom and I highly recommend it. Great cast of characters with a couple of nice suprises to boot.
If you have not read Circle of Skulls I highly recommend it as well along with James's other three books Bloodwalk, The Shield of Weeping Ghosts, and The Restless Shore. All have an excellent "creepiness" factor that will keep the pages turning.

I just finished Brimstone Angels (great read!) and am halfway through Blackstaff Tower. It is wonderful so far! Steven Schend's writing is so reminiscent of Greenwood's.

Personally I'm hoping that the novels that are currently only available in ebook format become available in paperback so I can read and enjoy them as well.
