I totally saw that coming. But there's still a lot we don't know. What does it mean 1 and 2 of 7? How is this going to be related the Nethril Shade Enclave? I see a long future for this story...you know, since there's a bunch of other books. Where do you see it going? Where do you want it to go?

Jeff, I was unable to read along with you on this book--do you plan on doing another reading? What book are you going to choose? Any chance that your reading list and the 'normal' WotC Novels Book Club reading selection could be the same for your next book? Thanks, David S.

I recommend reading the entire series and possibly if those following were interested to the offshoots.  The series is good as long as your comfortable with the..."poor me I am being forced to do something I don't want too...."

Personally I very much enjoyed it and I got some good insight into how I might portray a Shadowfell scenario in game given there was not much information at that time regarding the setting.

The plan is complete this trilogy and from there we'll see what's next (that's 2 months away, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, I guess). :-)

But yeah, this book was good and we had a nice chat with Paul S. Kemp (the author) about it as well. I'll be posting the discussion/interview later this week and I'll try and remember to swing by to post a url here.

To follow up on the question of what we're doing next for the Tome's book club after we finish Erevis Cale this month. Tracy (my co-host) got to pick and she choose The God Catcher by Erin Evans for Septemeber. I don't know what the group book choice is for September...but if it's not choosen and people would like to coincide with us I'd welcome it.

Squach, not sure what we're reading in September.  It was going to be Shadowbane by Eric Scott de Bie, but they're only releasing it as an eBook, so that's doubtful.

I know it won't be The God Catcher as we've read that already.  Actually, we had Erin Evans participate in that discussion, and it was one of our best ever.  If you look through the Waterdeep section of the boards, you'll see those discussions.

Erin actually has a new one coming out in Novemeber that I'm hoping we'll read then.
