All the Realms are a game table, and we are but PCs. What's your character like?
Â
Ed Greenwood (author of The Sword Never Sleeps): With the approval and connivance of certain TSR staffers, I wrote myself up as a character in the Realms back in 1979, and I’ve been in the Realms ever since. No, I’m not Elminster. (Or Mirt.) “I” live in Waterdeep (at least in the 1350s DR), am in published Realmslore but not at all prominent, and if someone guesses who I am, I’ll reveal more. As in, a tale or three.
Â
Erin Evans (author of The God Catcher): Gut reaction: I’d definitely be a half-elf. And definitely a magic-user. I think I’d be a silverstar . . . I keep finding myself drawn to silverstars. And I’d be a wanderer. In my recreational-wagon. (Friend Erin)
Â
Richard Lee Byers (author of Unholy): Tough question. There are so many cool possibilities. But I really like the Moonsea. I can imagine myself as a trader sailing from one of those tough little frontier towns to the next, buying and selling, delivering passengers and cargo, and doing whatever odd jobs came my way, using my wits and my sword to fend off trouble. I’d be a human rogue, and I’d pray to Waukeen, Valkur, or the Red Knight, depending on the needs of the moment. (Friend Richard)
Â
Erik Scott de Bie (author of Downshadow): Eibed Ttoc Skire is a 6th level tiefling bard/warlock who serves Erevan Ilesere, elven god of mischief, and dwells in Waterdeep, City of Splendors, where he scrambles to fulfill deadlines for his notoriously smutty chapbooks and also tries to restrain himself from Vicious-ly Mockery-ing folk who mispronounce his name. See the full write-up at my blog: eriksdb.livejournal.com/237464.html (Friend Erik)
Â
Jaleigh Johnson (author of Mistshore): I think I'd want to be a human druid of Mielikki, and I always wanted to live in Shadowdale. I could have totally pictured myself hanging around Storm Silverhand's farm back in the day. (Friend Jaleigh)
Â
Richard Baker (author of Avenger): Rychar Bai-Khiir: 10th level storm genasi warlord/brawling fighter hybrid. He can be found at the helm of the Nelanther Star, his scarlet-sailed pirate galleon, anywhere from Velen Head to Waterdeep. Brave Tempus is the god who watches over him. (Friend Richard)
Â
Rosemary Jones (author of City of the Dead): Right now I'm a Selkie warrior, even though there aren't any selkies in the Realms, and you can find more information at my website. I've been a crazy gnome illusionist with a fireproof hat too. And you can find the reason for the hat at my blog too! (Friend Rosemary)
Â
Bruce R. Cordell (author of City of Torment): Name: Bruce "Demonstaff" Cordell Class: Wizard Residence: One of the trailing shards of Selune Deity: Tymora Goal: Gain local control over the Weave, and pinch off a subdimension where magic works according to MY rules. Ahem. (Friend Bruce)
Â
James P. Davis (author of Circle of Skulls): Name: James Davis Race: Half-dwarf Class: Ranger-Rogue Level: 4th/4th Homeland: Southern Swamp-Forests Deity: Silvanus Alignment: Chaotic Good
I will post full stats on my blog . . . now, where are those stats for Stormbringer, hmmm . . . (Friend James)
