Welcome to blogging on the Wizards Community Site. Here are some tips to get started.
When should I post a blog?
If you are a group owner or contributor, blogs are a good way to share information with your group. Blogs are also good for people who like to consistently post in an article style about their gaming thoughts, strategies, and experiences. Blogs aren’t as good for getting help and support. If you have a question about the game or want to ask the community for advice about deck strategy, character building, etc., you will reach a larger audience and likely get more responses in the forums.
How do I post a blog?
There are three places to post a blog on the site:
· Your Account page: Click “My Account” in the top right of the site menu, then click “My Blog” in the sub-navigation. From here you can click the “Start Blogging” button near the top right of the page.
· The main blog page: If you are on the main blog page for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, or More Games, click the big “Start Blogging” button near the top right of the page.
· Groups: If you own or are a member of a group and have blogging permissions, click the group’s blog tab, then click “create blog” at the top left of the blog section.
Why don’t I see my blog in the blog listing?
Make sure you select a category. Blogs will display in the blog listing for whichever category is selected when the blog is posted.
How do I edit a blog post?
You can edit blog posts that you have created, or blog posts in your group depending on your group settings. If you are viewing the full blog post, click “Edit Blog Post” in the black toolbar at the top right of the post.
Where do blogs appear?
Your blog posts appear in your activity feed on your public profile page. Public group blog posts also appear in the group’s blog tab. Blogs categorized with Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, or All Games will appear on the main blogs page for each brand. In addition, blogs from featured users will appear on the home page for each brand.
How do I get my blog featured?
At their discretion, Wizards staff will feature bloggers who consistently write quality content about our games.
How do I report an offensive blog post?
Click the blog post title to view the full blog post, then click the “Report Content” link at the top right of the blog post.
