I suppose, since i'm posting on the DnD UK group so much, and i've updated my profile, and i'm getting the profile views that I really should start using this thing...
So, hi...
I'm Adam, many of my friends call me dUm, thanks to them having american accents a sense of humour, and bad typing. I live on the outskirts of Leeds with my wife and 4 kids, and I work as a software developer, working on cool drainage software and software for holiday companies.
My nick name, blindgeekuk, comes from the fact i'm partially sighted - I have diplopia, aka double vision, in each eye, all the time... it means I see 4 of everything, all the time... Sometimes I use a white stick to get around safely.
I'm a geek, pure and simple, I love new gadgets, and I love restoring old gadgets - theres nothing better than picking a bargain up via ebay and turning it into something that runs almost as well as a new pc etc.
I run 4th edition intro games in Leeds at the Travelling Man, and I host a website, which gets updated daily at http://www.leedsdnd.co.uk. In the 9 months or so i've been running these games, we've had nearly 50 new players through the door, and we have a core group of 20 players.
My spare time, what little there is with working and looking after 4 kids, is spent chopping the ends of my fingers off (aka cooking) and thrashing my son at halo.
So there you go, thats me...
