Humm, advantage on saves is better but it over shadows the magic resistance aspect as now the dragon is simply resistant to every thing, unless it is limited per day or tied in with legendary action. I would just say keep magic resistance and drop the resistance to everything else and instead give it more HPs. If the idea is to make the monster last long and be scary, more HPs and/or higher AC works better than taking a marker and crossing out character abilities. Otherwise, a dragon fight is just going to be a "sit back and let fighter/rogues kill it with raw damage" scenario.
I would also suggest letting the dragon make melee attacks with its bite and claws as part of legendary actions, and make the tail attack some kind of opportunity action. It's strange to think of a dragon attacking with its tail nearly 50 percent of the time.
Touche, there are no save or die spells...yet. However, even though the dragon auto saves 4/day, most spells do 1/2 damage on a successful save. That isn't really shutting a spell caster down as much as Frightening Presence will a fighter/melee pc. If you look at the dragons defenses and hit points, you'll see, this mechanic seems to be a way to make it feel like an epic fight with a dragon. Otherwise 4 level 6 pc's are going to drop it in 2 rounds.
