I've played many campaigns in various settings, and DMed plenty more all over the place, and had a lot of fun.
But then, several years ago, I discovered Birthright. Much later than when it came out, but Birthright still changed the game for me. The first campaign I DMed, started in humble Tuornen in Anuire, and ended up with a party that included a descendant of Roele who didn't know it until it was all said and done, and even an ersheiglen (sp) of Reynir, "The Dryad" as she was known. Because of that setting, that game become the most fun I have ever had in D&D.
So thanks Richard. I know you had a part in 4E Forgotten Realms, which I very much do not like, but you were responsible for what I think is the most underrated and memorable campaign setting ever. Again, thanks a bunch.
